Tilcom LTD and Raychem RPG have a long-standing partnership. Tilcom is the exclusive representative of Raychem and the only distributor of their product range on the territory of Bulgaria.

Incorporated in 1989, Raychem RPG is an American/Indian joint venture which specializes in engineering solutions and services. Raychem RPG is divided 50/50 between RPG Enterprises and Tyco Electronics. Both these companies are world leaders in their respective fields – RPG Enterprises has interests in areas of Infrastructure, Power Generation, Distribution and Transmission, Cables, IT and Communication, etc. and Tyco Electronics is a global industrial conglomerate and the world’s largest manufacturer for passive components business and engineering products and services.

Raychem RPG’s main goals are to accelerate growth on new products, enhance customer satisfaction to the highest level and achieve business excellence through a process of continual improvement.

Products

Personnel Safety

The first two products that we will introduce are the Insulating Rubber Gloves and the IEC&AS/NZS Standard also known as an Insulating Mat. Both items can be found on Raychem RPG’s website in the Personnel Safety section.

Insulating Rubber Gloves

They provide great electrical protection ranging from 500V AC to 36000V AC working voltage. Palm sizes from 7 to 12 are all available for purchase. They are resistant to Acid, Ozone and Oil and their ergonomic design provides comfort for longer working hours. The gloves are manufactured with the latest robotic latex dipping technology.

IEC&AS/NZS Standard/Insulating Mat

The insulating mat is made out of high-quality rubber which provides complete protection against electric shock caused by earth faults. It’s suitable for application and can be placed in front of electric panels, switchgears and high voltage equipment which will ensure safe working environment for both operators and users. Insulating mats should be deployed in areas where there is risk of an electrical shock.

Clamping

The next products we will introduce are the cable ties. There are two sets of cable ties that can both be found on Raychem RPG’s website. Every set has two different types: Releasable Cable Ties – Coated and Releasable Cable Ties – Uncoated; Ladder Type Cable Ties – Coated and Ladder Type Cable Ties Uncoated.

Releasable Cable Ties – Coated/Uncoated

They have special grade polymer coating with PPA-517 material for superior hygroscopic and corrosion resistance properties. Reusable and very convenient for temporary installation and cable pulling. The Releasable Cable Ties can be used for multiple installations over a long period of time.

Ladder Type Cable Ties – Coated/Uncoated

Ladder Type Cable Ties are designed with Ratchet Mechanism System. Their greatest advantage is that they are resistant to corrosion and are also suitable for indoor, outdoor or harsh environments. The coating is pure polyester. The cable ties are also UL94 fireproof, Halogen free and UV-resistant.

Euro Series Cable Glands

Metal cable glands for unarmored cables with IP 68. Main advantages that the Euro Series cable glands offer are exceptional strain relief, which is a key requirement in the electrical and instrumentational industries, very compact and easy to use(22mm width) and an entirely new and smart design, which was developed using a unique twin shot production technique. They are suitable for use in industrial(safe) areas.

Connectors

Aluminium Mechanical Connectors

They are made from very high conductivity electrolytic aluminium. In addition to that, they are chemically treated to reduce resistance and corrosion. Furthermore, they are filled with inhibiting compound which breaks oxide layers on aluminium conductors. Their main use is for termination and connection between different types and sizes of aluminium cables. The exact material used for their making is a high strength aluminium 6061-T6.

Copper Mechanical Connectors

Main advantages for the copper connectors are compactivity and also the economical and high conductivity copper alloy terminal that they are made from. Their main use is for joining wide range of conductors to equipment and terminal blocks. Another key advantage is how easy they are to install using only a screwdriver or a wrench.

Lugs

Copper Lugs

Made from high conductivity ETP Copper and are also electro tin plated. Their annealed material optimizes the crimping properties and their flat contact surface and precise stud holes makes them very easy to use. The Copper Lugs comply to IEC 61328-1 Standard and their design and construction are as per DIN 46235 Standard.

Aluminium Lugs(2 types)

1. RLAX – One-hole Lugs – Aluminium Lugs for XLPE Cables

Their made from 99.5% pure high conductivity electrolytic aluminium and are designed to accept a variety of conductor forms, especially low stranded compacted conductors. With their significant lower dead weight, they are a popular choice for power distribution applications.

2. RADE – One-hole Lugs – Aluminium Lugs

Designed as per DIN 46329 Standard, made with high conductivity electrolytic aluminium, they provide low resistance and ductility for excellent combination of electrical and crimp forming properties. Almost seamless, one-piece aluminium construction for maximum conductivity and avoidance of oxidation on the surface.

Buckles(Clips)

There are three types of buckles that Raychem RPG offer:

1. Buckle - Jaw type

2. Buckle – Wing type

3. Buckle – Screw type

Main use - Fitting of profiles and other accessories on the poles or application

parts.

The product is approved by the ABS & the DNV.

Band(Straps)

Main use – fitting of profiles, clamps and other accessories on the poles.

There are two packing options:

1. Easy to use plastic dispenser

2. Strong Corrugated Box

Utility Bands – specially packed for industrial and utilities requirement. They are available in all grades of stainless steel and are packed in plastic dispensers and carton boxes.

The product is approved by the ABS & the DNV.

Junction Boxes

There are three sets of Junction boxes:

1. Industrial

2. ATEX

3. Fire Rated

The industrial set and the ATEX set both have 3 different types – aluminium(RJ series), glass reinforced polyester(GRP)(GRJ series) and fabricated(MSJ,SSJ).

The fire rated set has two different types – aluminium(FRAJB) and fabricated(FRJB).

Junction boxes can be used in hospitals, underground railways, hotels, chemical labs, airports and commercial buildings.

Transformers

Raychem RPG offers a rich assortment of transformers. There are eleven different types that can all be found on their website.

1. Power Transformer – robust design and sturdy construction to completely handle short circuits.

2. Cast Resin Transformer – for special and industrial applications.

3. Vaccum Impregnated Transformer (VPI) – for power, distribution and industrial applications

4. Inverter/Solar Transformer – with two to six inverter windings

5. Converter Duty/Drive Duty Transformer – one or more output windings connected to rectifier or inverter loads

6. Furnace Transformer – withstands high currents, mechanical and thermal stresses.

7. Earthing/Grounding Transformer – special purpose transformer with zigzag or interconnected star winding. Provides ground protection in 3-Phase, 3-wire system.

8. Auto Transformer – tapped winding transformer changes voltage locally to a required load. The primary and secondary coils are connected to each other electrically.

9. Pad Mounted Transformer – more compact in design and suitable for Urban Distribution System. It has protection from tampering and environmental conditions.

10. Scott T Transformer – reduces imbalance on source side for single phase loads.

11. Distribution Transformer – winding and core assembly carried out in temperature controlled, dust-proof clean room.
