Energy Meters for Direct and Alternating Current
Energy meters, also called power meters, sum electrical energy to establish the operation of an electrical installation.
Depending on the model, they are used in photovoltaic systems, power systems, charging stations, DC machines or industrial plants, workshops, machines and offices.
With "Müller + Ziegler" energy meters you have an accurate overview of your electricity consumption at all times.
Specific features:
1. S0 or Ethernet interface
2. Analog output 20 mA
3. Adjustable ratio of shunt resistors and current transformers
4. Possibility of direct connection
5. Slim design with 71 mm housing width
6. LEDs to display functions
I. DC energy meters
1. EZG-S0
The DC energy meter "EZG-S0" is used to measure the active power for input and output currents in DC installations. It is used in photovoltaic installations, battery systems, charging stations, DC machines, etc.
Measurements can also be made in installations with pulse control of the direct current (PWM control). The energy meter can measure up to 10A DC directly or be connected to a shunt.
The energy values are displayed, stored and made available as pulses for further processing. In addition, current, voltage and instantaneous active power values can be displayed.
2. EZG-TCP
The DC power meter "EZG-TCP" is used to measure the active power for input and output currents in DC installations.
The energy values are stored and made available on the Ethernet interface for further processing.
II. Energy Meters for Alternating Current
1. EZD-S0 1/5
The electronic energy meter "EZD-S0 1/5" is used for reading active and reactive energy in import and export in three-phase systems at any load. Their application covers industrial plants, workshops, machines and offices.
The energy values are displayed, recorded and provided as pulses for further processing. The current active or reactive energy can be output via an analog output (20 mA).
All current, voltage, frequency, power and energy values can be read on the LCD display. The connection is made via current transformers with a rated secondary current of 1 or 5 amps.
2. EZD-S0 80
The electronic energy meter "EZD-S0 80" is used for reading active and reactive energy in import and export in three-phase systems at any load.
Their application covers industrial plants, workshops, machines and offices.
The connection is made directly up to a maximum current of 80 amperes.
3. EZD-TCP 1/5
4. EZD-TCP 80
III. AC energy meters in accordance with MID
1. Sinus 5//1 S0 / M-BUS / Modbus MID
The energy meter consists of a plastic housing with several parts. One part is made of transparent plastic and covers the LC display (liquid crystal display) underneath and the nameplate.
Terminal screws, accessible from the outside, are provided for connecting the meter. The electronic functional circuitry of the meter is installed on printed circuit boards and is located inside the plastic housing.
The measured current is adapted internally to the input conditions of the electronic sensors by a current transformer for each current circuit. The voltage to be measured is internally adapted to the input conditions of the electronic sensors via a voltage divider for each voltage circuit.
The digitized measurement values are further processed in a downstream processor. After processing, the recorded energy values are displayed.
The software controls the processing in the meter. In this way, functions for starting/stopping the meter, pulse output, display control, storage and archiving of measured values, start-up and shut-down behaviour and error monitoring are implemented.
2. SINUS 85 S0 / M-BUS Modbus MID
